FAQ's
Things to know
There’s a reason these are FAQ’s –
You are going to want to know this stuff!
Transparency is ALWAYS best. I want to keep everything out in the open and keep you as informed as possible. Aaaand it saves us time too!
- I wanna book/talk, how long will it take you all to get back with me? My goal is to respond to emails within the hour (unless I'm at a wedding, the nanny's off or it's late and I am finally snoozing), then I respond within a few hours.
- How far out should I book? I generally book 9 to 12 months in advance for popular months (April-June & October-November). Sooo, if you are inquiring and your date lands within that time, you best be ready to book ASAP because dates (especially Saturdays) go very quickly. Just being real!
- Photo Turn Around Time : I deliver your wedding photos around week 8 of married life, BUT we usually do a sneak peek 1 to 2 weeks after your wedding to hold you over so you will have a better photo than everyone's cell phone pics to share on social media. eww
- Do we get all of our photos? Yes, yes, yes!!! The only exceptions would be those where your eyes are closed, the photo itself is blurry or just overall unflattering photos that we all know you will not want to have anyway. My usual wedding gallery delivery is 400 to 1,000 photos, give or take. It just depends on how long I am hired for and how much fun we have on the dance floor. I will not send you any un-edited photos. After all, you hired my for my unique editing style and trust in me that you will receive all the right photos.
- How do you deliver photos? You will receive your photos via an online gallery with full High-Resolution digital downloads of the images. There won’t be any watermarks or logos will be on these photos. You will get a download code so you’ll have complete access to your photos to save, print, and share as you wish!
- How can we get printed images? We offer discounted rates for printing through me directly via your online gallery. You WILL receive a print release that allows you to use other professional print companies if you choose however just know some of my clients have had issues in the past with prints from other non-professional print companies not coming out as they should and they end up disappointed. You pay a lot of money for these incredible images with my fancy sharp cameras- DON'T SKIMP ON THE PRINTS. I want you to decorate your home and walls with these memories!
- Do you have reviews from other couples? Yes - I have over 100 reviews on The Knot & Wedding Wire & Facebook! If you haven’t read one or two (or three or four) - here is the link: https://www.theknot.com/marketplace/joy-neville-photography-and-films-dallas-tx-447807
- How do we book? Email me with the package that best suites your needs. I will then send you the contract for the package you book. The retainer to secure the date with us is usually half of the total package. (we are flexible with this- just ask) The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding. Easy right?!
- Do you meet with clients before booking? Since I book 30+ weddings a year, along with all of my engagement/bridals/boudoir sessions, PLUS all the time I need for editing on the weekdays, and don’t forget still trying to be a kickass parent – as much as I love getting to know you before you book, I don't feel one on one meetings are absolutely necessary. I am totally transparent throughout the booking process, on my website, social media (check out of IG stories to see some of our personalities), etc so you will know if I am the right choice for you. I also hopefully have an engagement session to get to know one another! However, if you feel more comfortable meeting first- let's make time for a coffee or adult beverage and get to know one another! Lastly, I am always available to chat via email, text, phone call or face time/zoom call. I am super easy to laugh with or at!
- What do you mean you are open to talking about our budget? I know that money is not the easiest thing to talk about, but I try to be as open and up-front with our clients as we can be. At the end of the day, I am a full-time photographer and don't rely on another form of income to feed my family and save for the future. While I really do WANT to work with your budget (and will try our hardest to!) there are situations where I really can’t accommodate a budget due to our bottom line costs of running this business. I never hurts to ask tho.
- Can we see full galleries of past Weddings/Engagements? Definitely!! I want you to see all of the goodness in the middle too, not just our favorite portraits/moments. Click here to see entire wedding galleries, and click here for Engagement Sessions.
